Volunteer day at Takoma Park Elementary School

  • Takoma Park Elementary School 7511 Holly Avenue Takoma Park, MD, 20912 United States (map)

Join students and parents from Takoma Park Elementary School (TPES) for a morning of planting, mulching and general maintenance in the pawpaw patch, raised beds and along the native nature trail.

Fall is a great time to get plants in the ground so we’ll have a bunch of blackberries and wildflowers to add to the trail. We’ll also be cleaning up the raised beds and sowing cover crops so they’re ready for the after school garden club in the spring. And we’ll be installing a few signs along the nature trail so students can identify and learn about the plants.

When: 9am to 12pm, Saturday November 8th

Where: Takoma Park Elementary School, 7511 Holly Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912

Please bring water and gloves if you have them (we’ll have some spare if you need).

All ages welcome!
